This dry rosé sparkler is a unique and innovative wine that satisfies the palate and the senses. It's made from Pinot Grigio and Merlot, with a dabble of the local Incrocio Manzoni grape. The nose delivers aromas of white peach, nectarine and strawberry with notions of lemon, thyme and jasmine. The aromas follow through on the palate with some tropical fruit notes. The wine is lovely, light and refreshing for the daytime or under the light of the moon!

Torre Zecchei is in the picturesque wine growing area of Valdobbiadene in the heart of Prosecco country. The family has owned the property since 1888, but until 1986 the grapes were most sold to other winemakers. In 2006, Eli Spagnole decided to build his own new winery on the property to focus on small-production, hand-crafted wines, leaving his brother to run the traditional business. The area was a favorite of the Italian writer Giovanni Comisso, who wrote glowingly about the landscape and the wines.
The Torre Zecchei has delicate fruit aromas but then delivers on the palate with a boost from the wonderful Incrocio Manzoni grape. To start a little dinner party, pair the wine with my Shrimp and New Potato Spiedini. A fresh squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of basil at the end of the recipe preparation bring the dish on home.
Valdobbiadene is reverently referred to by locals as the "land of vine and wine."
